      Pros

      All of the perks of corporate life. Great PTO, healthcare, work/life balance, etc.

      Cons

      Very old, hierarchical company. No growth opportunities until people leave.

      Use to be a great work place.

      Pros

      When I started at Verizon as a solutions specialist it was great pay and a fun workplace. I was able to live comfortably and achieve my financial goals. I thought there was a lot of opportunity and I could grow my career by being the best. At least that’s what I was told for years.

      Cons

      I found it it’s actually very hard to move up if your not chosen/ friends with the general managers, I stayed for the pay I figured well if I can’t move up I can still work hard and be happy with my commission. Recently they changed the commission structure to team commission, it’s a lot less. After all these years I’m pretty demotivated. Can’t maximize my checks anymore and couldn’t move up because I wasn’t in the circle.

      Pros

      During the pandemic, the company retrained retail employees instead of laying us off. I gained valuable experience on the phone in a new role. Benefits - They even pay for my girlfriends health insurance (considered domestic partner) Culture Good management Co-workers are like family Opportunity for advancement

      Cons

      Pay structure has changed and it's not as easy as it used to be to make a big commission check. That said, retail reps are still paid extremely well for the job.
