Enterprise - No thanks. Give me Wireless!
Pros
Excellent total compensation of pay and benefits. Many opportunities to move within such a large company - if you can get an interview. Friends and colleagues in the Wireless business unit were much happier with the work environment. I just could not get there before I got caught in a layoff. It is exciting to learn about the company's vision, direction and how it is using technology to make life better for people. I would recommend Verizon, but only the Wireless business unit.
Cons
Experience in Enterprise was difficult due to constant reorganizations, headcount reductions and terrible leadership. They liked to use the term "leadership" in place of "management" (ex: "leadership team"), but the first and second line management of my organization did not qualify as "leaders". It seemed like the directors cared more about their bonuses than their people.
