Great Team. Pros + Cons of big company
Pros
Supportive team and managers within the group. Good mentorship if you’re willing to seek out help and. There’s lots of building opportunities in the group and in the company. There is also an internal push to be more inclusive and flexible.
Cons
Still a large company and takes lots of push from the employees to see change. There is however a desire from the Canadian leadership team to listen with yearly or biyearly pulse checks (anonymous surveys) which helped bring in some maternity leave top ups, paternity leave too ups, and changed the starting vacation from 2 weeks to 3 weeks. Areas of improvement include the IT department, the leadership team valuing the Employe Resource Groups with their own time codes, more D&I in the M&E department, too many corporate emails and some times there are too many corporate led initiatives that take you away from your day to day.
