Can sometimes be overlooked at a large company

Long hours - rarely leave on time. Overtime is unpaid. Sometimes working to unrealistic deadlines. Most of the work is farmed out to India yet charged to client at London rates. London based engineers mainly reviewing and correcting work done by India office. Salary is below industry average and staff are just treated as a number, not a person. Management out of touch with the staff. The only company I've ever worked at where the staff have to PAY to attend the company christmas party! If you want a pen, you have to raise a purchase requisition as no stationery is held, so you just end up buying and paying for stuff yourself as it is quicker than filling in the forms. Over crowded offices with small desks. Forced to take 3 days of annual leave over Christmas period when office is closed.
