Pros
Always busy, never boring. This is a fast-paced and challenging environment. The longer you stay, the more PTO hours you accumulate.
Cons
Extremely slow growth potential including salary growth. The company does not seem to value longtime employees. For example, great yearly job performance reviews only get you a 3% yearly raise if you are lucky. (Each year you gain more and more work responsibilities with a very minimal raise.) To get what you think you are worth, you will need to apply to another position and negotiate a decent salary or leave the company altogether. The company used to offer an alternative work schedule. Unfortunately, when the firm was bought out by WSP, for some reason upper management decided to do away with it. Big mistake! That was one of the only beneficial life/work balance perks that the firm offered.
