Pros

Great steping stone for further jobs, but depends on the store you get. Some are really worse than others. As stated, depends on the store you get. Some are waaayyy lot better than others, dont be fooled. Some have high traffice, within a good area, and some stores are just plain nasty and have alot of crime etc.

Cons

Bad managers, horrible training, inflexible hours, managers and co-workers dont give a dam about helping when neeed. Also too much gosip within ranks. Also security at stores that are in rough areas need to be increased. Manager dont take an active part in helping, and when they do, its because someone from district is on the way over. Real sad...

Pros

The best reason to work for walgreens is they offer compitive pay when compared to other employeers, especially walmart. They are also flexable on the schedule, which is good for me since i am a college student. Also the work load in the pharmacy is less on an individual when compared to walmart who always under schedules to save money.

Cons

The downside of working for walgeens in they don't give you breaks, or if you make an issue of it they well make sure your schedule sucks, as i have heard. Also personally I dont like have to remember althese sign on code like 5 of them each with a hard password.

Pros

As a part-time worker as a technician i was given access to profit sharing as well as a week of vacation days for one year of employment, 2 weeks for 2 years, etc... Overall, everyone is pretty friendly, do your work and do it well and management wont have any gripes with you.

Cons

Working on holidays is never fun, but as long as they do a fair job of divying things up it is ok. It almost seems like you could do anything there and still keep your job. There have been employees that have used over 50 sick days in a year and not recieve any disciplinary action.
