Pros

salary, growth opportunity, relocation, networking, big box experience are the most outstanding pros. The ability to move to the top from the very bottom.

Cons

The culture that began with the founder appears to be in decline. In some areas, too much focus on diversity

Pros

the advancement opportunties are there. Be patient and do a good job whatever you do and you will see the light at the end of the tunnel,

Cons

the attendance and LOA policy needs revamped. Not fair for some people.Medically its not fair for some people, they are out for those 12 weeks and need more time, and walmart feels they should get ride of their positions even though in some cases it is a work related injury.

Pros

If you are a sales associate and young, you might meet some interesting people both with whom you work with and customers. I personally worked in the electronics department with other young individuals as well. Pretty much it was alot of customer service and if you like talking to and being nice to people than this is the job for you. Overall, it is a pretty relaxed atmosphere to work in as there is no pressure to make commission sales. It gets a little intense during the holidays and black friday though, but it is a good job for college students who seek part-time employment.

Cons

You get close to your co-works and some of the store management, but don't expect everything to be fair with pay per hour or hours worked during the week. If this is just a temporary job, within the Wal-Mart stores than by all means this is a good job. But if you are counting on making money and advancing quickly with them, especially throught the store than don't work for them. The benefits are really bad and are not exceptional compared to other retails.
