Pros

The pay is competitive--I made $3 over minimum wage while most retails jobs in the area paid minimum wage. It's easy work--If you can stand the boredom.

Cons

Day-off requests denied most of the time, even when store is fully staffed. No incentive to be friendly and attentive with customers because cashiers are ranked solely based on the items scanned per minutes, with leaderboards posted daily in the breakroom. Impossible to find a manager for change/overrides/etc. when busy.

Pros

The pay is surprisingly good. You make more per hour as a regular associate than a Zms, or department manager storeside. Lots of physical labor for those who like hard work.

Cons

Hard work, with no air-conditioning in the summer! Promotions seem to be few and far between due to the economy.

Pros

Great pay, raises, and employees!

Cons

No, really respects the shoe department, and throws shoes all over the floor, so if you like picking up things the Shoe department is for you!
