Pros

Willing to move you to various depts. instead of leaving the company. They stress two 15 min. breaks and 1 full hour for lunch for fulltime staff and really stick to the 40 hr. work week rule, they do not like the overtime, but then neither do I. Can wear jeans if you participate in fundraisers. They hire all ethnic groups, the disabled, veterans, and some that are slightly mentally challenged. Don't know if the WIRE is a positive or a negative - it definatly is more NON-personable as the mgrs. always send you there before they want to answer or help you., BUT it DOES give you the freedom to search various topics and update your job preferences, request time off, view your hours worked and paystubs, email managers, do your CBL's, etc. IF you can find the time to get on a PC because alot of this is only accessable if "clocked in" and are at work.

Cons

CRAPPY PAY!! My 20 yr. old son makes $10 hr. elsewhere, and they want to pay ME $10.80 - OMG!My rate has been cut in HALF from my previous job and they could care less - but I gotta have a job. They hire people for pennies and work them like horses. Training for an important position was CRAPPY and not long enough but still wanted me to do it, I respectfully declined, and I didn't even apply for that job as I've never done it before, EVER - it is not my field and they KNEW that when they hired me. Management gives great and positive group meetings but are very disengaged otherwise and noone likes to smile and are very non-chalant when speaking to them, making you very uncomfortable but yet offer the open door policy, and for what!? I understand they can't smile and speak to every single person because there are ALOT of employees, but when approached, they need to be more respectful and personable. One of our Mgrs won't even look or acknowledge you and when he does it's like looking at a mad bulldog! And he's the one that wears 2 big fake diamond earrings. Oh, and did I mention the PAY IS CRAPPY!?

Pros

guess its ok for part timers or those who need something as a source of income. not an ideal workplace though. mgmt is terribly incompetent, as wmt operates on the basis of internal advancement, which although not a bad idea in and of itself, is not always the best strategy as there were several mgrs who didn't even have undergraduate degrees.

Cons

lack of communication, terrible efficiencies

Pros

They pay you on time and give you plenty of hours to work. Employee benefits are a plus when working there

Cons

Everyone who works there is incompetant. Managers dont even know what they are talking about and are unclear as to what they want exactly.
