Pros

It's an ok steady job.

Cons

There is a disconnect between store management and upper management that keeps need changes from being made to make the store and company better.

Pros

Wal-mart is a great place for a student or older person to work at. I'm a college student and every semester I was able to change my availablity and still get adequate hours. Wal-mart pays well too. The only other place I've worked at is at a resturant, and retail is ten times better and money is better too. I make several dollars over minimum wage, and I'm happy were I'm at until I finish grad school or get an internship.

Cons

The downsides include that management isn't the greatest. I think many of them are incompetate. I don't know enough about the managers at my store, whether they are not people persons or they lack form education and management skills. I've completed my bacholers degree in accounting and I think I could do a better job than a few of them.
