Pros

Some skills can not be outsourced, so those lucky enough to be in management support positions, key technical and development areas and/or work in the Scottsdale location are "safe". Constant realignment, system upgrades and mergers also help to keep the body count of contractors high.

Cons

Maintenance skills can easily be outsourced to India. They are trying, but haven't quite been successful in using off-shore talent for the bulk of project staff. FTEs are like tenured professors in that even if they are incompetent, you still need to work (& sometimes be supervised) by those less knowledgeable.

Pros

Company match for 401k is 6% - much better than average. Prestigious name, and lots of access to the banks customer base.

Cons

Many of the negatives about this company come from problems with the Wells Fargo merger, and also having too many levels of hierarchy. Commission for Financial Advisors is competetive, but the commission paid out to in-branch Sales Assistants is far below average.

Pros

Good opportunity to advance quickly if you enjoy sales. Fair promotions based on your numbers and a good place to start out if you're right out of college and willing to work hard. There's money to be made if you have the ability to earn it.

Cons

You continuously fight an uphill battle to bring in customers and sell sub-prime loans. Expect to have a lot of pressure put on you continuously to meet sales quotas. If you can excell here you can sell anywhere. Compensation program was recently changed and will make large bonuses near impossible.
