Pros

Good benefits such as prepaid medicine, a PeoplePass card in Colombia for COP 350000 (89 USD) per month, and life insurance

Cons

While Wizeline claims to offer remote work options, the reality for dedicated employees residing in major cities like Bogotá or Medellín is quite different. Despite the promise of remote flexibility, the company now mandates office attendance at least three times a week through a newly signed hybrid work contract. If you're seeking true remote opportunities, it's best to steer clear. Additionally, the review and feedback process at Wizeline can be uncomfortable. Managers provide feedback without sufficient visibility or understanding of their employees' work. As a Senior Software Engineer, I recently received feedback from my manager that revealed a lack of knowledge about my project contributions, which is concerning.

Pros

Small, innovative, great attitude in the teams

Cons

Management transparency in decision making is unclear and it's difficult to have confidence in implied suggestions that employees will be able to share in the financial success of the company. Revenue and margin targets can be unrealistic and fixed, and profit sharing model left many people disappointed during the first stock sell off and it seems the next round took a long time to set up and seems somewhat weak. But if that's not of interest it's a good place for early to mid technical people.

Pros

Culture, diversity, inclusion. They support you with cloud certifications

Cons

They say their customers are blue chip but some of them are not. Also at the time of writing, they have fired a lot of people because they are losing money. So if you are on the bench you are at risk of being fired although when they hire you they tell you that is OK to be on the bench and there is no problem
