Pros

Great internship, great culture, everyone is willing to help intern learn and develop. Managers are very good at setting goals for interns.

Cons

Interns might not be able to interact with other interns if they are on a small team.

Pros

Everyone at WRI is dedicated to making the world a better place and they do have a real (if limited) impact. Their international network is impressive.

Cons

Staff and management live in a world of unexamined privilege. Growth has been uncontrolled and chaotic and not terribly strategic. Firm leadership is needed.

Overall a good place to work at

Pros

Smart people to work with. Good work-life balance. Great benefits. Good for college graduates to gain development experience, or very seasoned/experienced policy advisers.

Cons

The organization has become top heavy. This is not a good place for mid-range professionals, as upward mobility may be limited.
