Pros

Bright, intelligent and friendly co-workers. The opportunity to work on engaging and interesting work. WRI has a fantastic network that you can leverage. HR recently did a salary calibration to raise everyone to at least the midpoint for that pay grade which has helped make salaries more competitive. Lots of PTO and a flexible approach to work makes it possible to keep a work-life balance.

Cons

Limited upward mobility. Lots of turnover in management lately. I haven’t seen a negative impact from that yet, but it is concerning.

amazing colleagues, great mission-driven work, really influential organization in their areas of expertise

Cons

HR is pretty terrible, benefits are so-so, while it is possible for mid-level growth, it is often VERY difficult to get commensurate salary increases without leaving the institute or leveraging a competing offer
