Great mission, great people, you can really see your impact. I felt good about saying where I worked and what I contributed to.

Cons

Lots of trouble with HR (P&C) Getting paid right took several months and the process was unclear. Eventually it worked out fine, but it was hard not knowing when the checks were going to be right. Benefits promised were not always followed thourh

World Vision does a great job communicating the impact that we as employee's have on serving the most vulnerable communities, families, and children in the world. At the end of the day you feel like your hard work is for a cause greater than a paycheck. Senior management is outstanding! It is obvious that they could be earning a lot more in the corporate word but they are at WV to serve Jesus!

Cons

World Vision could do a better job setting a standard for promoting middle management. Policy and standard seem to be different depending on who you work for. There tends to be employee's who are promoted into middle management simply for a promotion. This type of promotions lead to people becoming managers who really should never be a manager and it is the staff that suffers. Raises are nothing to speak of and do not keep up with the cost of living, not to mention the rise in employee contribution to their medical.
