Pros

Super dedicated staff, critical mission, the HQ building is amazing and the facilities staff is awesome.

Cons

WWF is on it's way through a season of huge restructuring. Morale is low, and leadership is disconnected. Everyone is unsure whether the radical shifts that were made will work out, and the group of people who got laid off included several rock stars in the field of conservation.

Good for learning, but few opportunities to advance

Pros

People really walk the walk -- huge volume of hybrid cars in the parking lot, bottled water is frowned on, LEED building, tolerance and understanding is very important. Casual dress code As long as the work is done, it doesn't matter if you work from home, work a little bit, or just hang out. Ample opportunities to travel on company dime Peers are willing to help fellow peers (but not really help those below them) if you make friends with the support staff, they can help you figure out who the nice and helpful people are, and who the egotistical jerks are.

Cons

Extremely slow pace -- unless they are going through one of the CONSTANT re-organizations, and then they are swift to eliminate Senior management -- especially the CEO -- is very "star chamber." Not only are you not allowed to talk to the CEO unless you are a member of the elite, you are not allowed to talk to his assistant, either. Board members are coddled and treated like royalty -- during a board meeting, staff was asked not to ride the elevators in case the board members needed them and they didn't want the board members to have to ride with the lowly staff members. Not a lot of guidance or training, unless you are one of the few that "matter"
