Pros

Large, well-established business lines in most geographic regions. Expansion into emerging economies to capture growth opportunities.

Cons

Bureaucratic creep stifles positive workplace culture, which leads to good people leaving. Lack of clear communication at many levels of the organization. Unnecessary complexity. Excessive dependence on hydrocarbons sector for most of revenue, need to diversify.

Pros

Salaries are actually pretty good. Company promotes flex hours, every second friday off, and work-life balance. Nice work environment, everyone is friendly. The company works on primarily big projects (could be a negative as well). Opportunity to travel... I transferred cities for a year with no issues.

Cons

Typical big company procedures, paperwork and hoops to jump through. I find the knowledge sharing between senior and junior staff to be lacking. Not many internal technical seminars. Worley doesn't seem to value technical expertise as much as other companies. More focused on getting and completing work, rather than going the extra mile or winning one-off projects.

Pros

Started working with great people, good care and attention for employees, lots of opportunity to grow professionally, good level of training in some areas, plenty of opportunity for mobility locally and internationally.

Cons

A lot of the great people have gone or are going, perhaps too much care and attention of employees - few cakes, perhaps more billable hours, people. Training across business lines is almost entirely non-existent. Not necessarily "opportunity for mobility", more like a NECESSITY for mobility - the work load can be extremely up & down.
