Pros

Decent salary Decent benefits Large organization

Cons

Terrible leadership that does not know how to set up a project and expects employees to overwork since they are trying to send 90% of their work to India. Certain levels of family nepotism. Until 2016 there seemed to be no discernible startegy. Questions asked to the CEO were answered by a rosy-color glasses outlook of the market. Company does not care about employee development and does not invest in adequate training, meaning actual courses with reputable educational institutions. At least we used to have a tuition reimbursement policy ($5,000 a year) which apparently is now canceled. What they attempt to pass as training (online videos - Start 12) is a joke. If you want quality engineers you need to invest in them.

Pros

Good opportunity if you are with a good manager International work experience Diverse people Good HR very responsive Good place to work as a contractor

Cons

Training is very limited. If you are good at one job, you will likely be there forever. People tend to stick with their current method, lack of willingness for improvement. Not really ideal to work as a staff.

Pros

Some strong front line resources remain which despite being disengaged, do continue to overachieve in order to meet or exceed customer expectations.

Cons

Senior management policy and practices over the last five years have created an environment of alienation with the front line human resources. As the economic climate improves within the hydrocarbons industry as well as Alberta, expect a large exodus from the company.
