Pros

WorleyParsons has mature systems and processes which make learning easier. Being a large multi-national company one can connect to the knowledge base around the world. It's a good company to learn and establish one's career.

Cons

Being a publicly listed company, there is always a drive to be profitable. If you're not billable to a Client, you could be on the next list of redundancies.

Pros

I worked for WP in Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and India. Once you know the processes, you can work anywhere in the world for WP, their process are well implemented across the globe and you will start delivering results ASAP on the project. WP expatriates are well mannered and well behaved and I would love to work for WP for longer term. I think after Jacobs I will prefer to work with WP.

Cons

I was a fully committed WorleyParsons employee, dedicated, and worked 50 plus hours/week for the delivery of the biggest project they have done. I left my 15 years bright career of Jacobs and joined WorleyParsons Nigeria for 5 years ExxonMobil project. While recruiting, HR promised 5 years job guarantee. After 2 years WorleyParsons removed me as Nigerian management decided to make IT department completely and only Nigerian. In 2009 WP removed me when whole would went into recession, I was with my family and school going daughters, they did not stick to their 5 years job guarantee. WorleyParsons treats staff like a recruitment agency, if you’re not required by a client, then they don't make any money from you, there is no way WorleyParsons will continue paying you, because you become an overhead, which effects there profit is the bottom line.
