Pros

lots of snacks and drinks

Cons

Management does not care about employees, only climbing the ladder. Having opinions or ideas outside of management is considered "negativity" and you will be blacklisted for outside thinking . Despite the ping pong tables it is VERY corporate. You are not valued. "Turn on the lights" is a core value yet the deceive their employees and their clients. Management is so drunk on the Zillow Kool Aid, they think they can treat employees terribly and no one will leave. DO NOT WORK HERE

Thank you for your feedback. I am disheartened to hear that your experience at ZG was not one you felt was supportive of you, nor your ideas. Zillow’s culture is one that promotes transparency and openness for everyone to be and feel heard. I appreciate your candor as we take each review seriously and learn from them in moving forward to demonstrate delivery on each of our core values. If you’d like to discuss further, I’m happy to jump on a call with you. My direct line is 720-509-8346.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We are committed to maintaining a culture that is open, inclusive, and one that provides all employees with an equal opportunity to realize their potential and do the best work of their careers. We are always striving to learn where we have opportunities in our business, systems, or culture – and have multiple paths for employees to give us concerns around equal treatment. As we grow, we are continually adding additional employee training and processes to ensure Zillow Group is a safe and inclusive place to work. If you’re willing, I’d like to hear more specific feedback from you so that we can better understand your concerns. You can reach me at: dans@zillowgroup.com.

Pros

Wonderful benefits...that cannot be disputed. Gym reimbursement, incredible health/dental/vision coverage, generous PTO that is available for use immediately, really great coworkers, casual dress code.

Cons

LOTS of passive-aggressive behavior. I cannot speak for other departments, but mine most certainly strayed from the core values (especially Turn on the Lights and Act With Integrity). Sick time cannot be used without 48 hours notice, which defeat s the purpose of having it (you cannot plan when you get sick). Hardly any room for growth unless you want to work on commission in the sales department, which definitely isn't for everyone.

Hi, I'm glad to hear you think ZG benefits are great. I agree with you on that front. I respectfully disagree that there is no room for growth, as we've had more than 50 Client Engagement Specialists get promotions or other roles with Zillow Group in the last year. In addition, more than half of our leads in Denver were promoted from within. As for the use of sick time, Zillow Group offers a very competitive and generous benefits package which includes paid time off and sick time. This allows employees to take planned and unplanned time out of the office. We do ask that employees give advanced noticed for any planned time off. Relative your comments about straying from our core values, I see our leaders work hard to live those values everyday, and challenge each other when they feel those values are in danger. If you have experience that doesn't match with this, I'd very much like to hear your specific feedback. Please reach out to me directly at jrg@zillowgroup.com so I can follow up. -JR Gast, VP Client Experience.
