Pros

Young start up type company. Pay is 36k base salary plus commission-- good medical benefits and good location---- fun holiday theme employee parties.

Cons

Sketchy business practices. Employees are encouraged to work 10+ hour days and are made to feel guilty if they leave early. Required employees to be on the phone all day and not leave their desks. No work/life balance. Vacations are frowned upon.

Thank you for the review. It sounds like you left our organization some time ago based on the role listed. I agree we have outstanding benefits and our company parties are among the many team building events that are great. We certainly do not ask employees to work 10+ hours a day. In fact, quite the contrary. We manage to a healthy work/life balance that has a focus on strong work ethic during working hours and quality of life outside of the work place. We do, in fact, encourage vacations. Finally, when it comes to our business practices, one of our core values at Zillow Group is "Act with Integrity". Everyone in our organization is held accountable to that standard. Thank you again for your feedback. If you have more, please feel free to connect with me at stevec@zillowgroup.com. Pros

Compensation, benefits, and overall corporate culture are wonderful, as well as the ability to grow within the company.

Cons

The sales department is managed in a completely different manner than the rest of the organization. The high pressure sales techniques, unethical tactics, and stress created by management is not worth the company perks.

Thanks for the review. Glad you liked the compensation, benefits and culture. Sorry to hear though that you think our sales tactics are high pressure and unethical. That's not what I hear from other sales folks and managers that I gather feedback from all the time. I will take your advice though and continue to work on positive feedback here in Seattle. Pros

Great environment, good perks, lunches on Fridays.

Cons

Very lateral company. Not much potential to move anywhere within the company but sideways.

Thanks for the review. Glad you like the environment and perks. We work hard to create a friendly/fun/collaborative culture. Thanks also for your comments on the "lateral"-ness of the company. We have lots of examples of people moving up (and way up) in the organization, though completely understood we could do better. Fortunately, we're actually working now on career/promotion paths to make this process easier and more broadly available. If you have any more specific feedback or concerns, feel free to reach out to me directly - tonys@zillow.com. Thanks again!
