Pros

Zillow has great people from the top down. They have created a great environment and bringing in great people is instrumental in adding to the bottom line. I enjoyed seeing Spencer walking the sales floor and best of all there is a sweeping view of the Sound and free Starbucks coffee and drinks.

Cons

The job could get repetitive at times.

Thank you for your review! I'm very glad that you're having a good experience at Zillow. It is so important that we take care of our people and keep making Zillow one of the best places to work. Next time you see me cruising around the 29th floor staring at my phone, please introduce yourself and say "hey".

Pros

Candy Walls and Tillamook cheese

Cons

You're a telemarketer. A very stressed out telemarketer.

Thank you for your review, though it did bum me out. Yes, our sales people (and all employees) have headsets for their phones. And yes if you are in sales, you spend most of the day on the phone. But on the other hand, we sort of tell you that up front when we interview you, so that shouldn't be much of a surprise. On a more serious note, the job in inside sales changes dramatically after the first few months. Once you get a book of business and you have a few dozen or a few hundred successful clients, the job gets MUCH easier and more interesting. At that point you are more of an internet marketing consultant to a group of great real estate agents than a "telemarketer" as you said. We almost never lose a salesperson who has been with Zillow for more than a year and who is in the top half of the sales team ranking. In fact, I'm not sure if we've ever lost someone that meets that description. Anyway, I'm sorry that this job wasn't right for you, and I hope you find something that is a better fit.

Pros

Work independently without micromanagement - you are left to do your best work.

Cons

Sometimes the product is overly complex. Some architecture redesign is needed to reduce number of services and other complexity.

Thank you for this review! As you know (because you have worked here for a few years), we try to keep our product teams as small as possible and run them as semi-autonomous units. Almost like individual startups. They each have their own product queues, their own Devs, designer(s), test(ers), PMs, etc, and they are responsible for their own feature prioritizations. This makes things much more nimble, and also makes it a more interesting place to work on Product than most other companies. It's all about trying to keep Zillow agile despite growing our company size signficantly.
