I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (Toronto, ON) in Aug 2017
Interview
2 cases 1 behavioural. It took half a day and heard back fairly quickly. Background check took a while but recruiting contact was very responsive and helpful throughout the process, which helped a lot.
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Capital One (McLean, VA) in Aug 2018
Interview
Can I give HR a thumbs up and power day interviews a thumbs down? I guess that should off set each other. My experience was neutral. Difficult interview. I had 1 recruiter phone call and another 1 with the hiring manager. Also, they have my Logic reasoning test results for a separate role I interviewed for. HR was really good about communicating with me as soon as they know next steps. I was invited to come to Power day= 2 job fit, 1 case interview, and 1 behavioral interview. My interviewers are all very smart and talented. Capital one clearly hires well. From a technical perspective, I did well because my answers are factually accurate. However, the impression I got from their personalities was not incredibly friendly or warm ......which is fine! I sensed very little positive/negative feedback from their body language / expressionless faces, so I’m not sure how well I jammed with the senior executives (waiting for an offer). I still think it’s a great place to work and full of passionate and smart people who are very driven and motivated to see this company do well.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Capital One (Plano, TX) in Sep 2014
Interview
Telephone screening, phone interview, 2 cases and one behavioural interview is all there is to it. You may get a second behavioural interview based if they want to decide on a particular role for you or if you are on the border in the first interview but thats very normal so dont panic
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Case interviews can throw you off but know that they do it to test how you handle the situation otherwise very straight forward
