I applied through campus recruiting process. The first round was a back to back phone interview. The manager will ask you things about your excel experience and some behavior questions.

Question 1
Could you describe what experience you have with excel
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Deloitte (Athens, GA) in Oct 2016
Interview
This was a first round on campus interview for the project controller position. The first interview was a very straight forward behavioral interview with a large focus on teamwork and conflicts between team members and how I dealt with them. The second interview was more of a technical skills assessment with questions ranging from excel functions and problem solving in excel, to basic finance budgeting and forecasting knowledge. Overall I had a positive experience as both members of the interview team showed interest and seemed to care about what I had to say.

Question 1
When was a time that you created a budget and how did you do it?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Deloitte (Hyderabad) in Aug 2016
Interview
I recently had a face to face interview with Deloitte for the position ‘Project Controlled’. The interview was worst and lasted for 1.5 hours.
Finally, the reply from the HR was we cannot take your candidature forward as the skills/requirements does not match with the job profile.
Yeah, when I have forwarded my resume to Deloitte through a known source four months ago, they have called and scheduled a telephonic round. On the day of telephonic interview, I had to cut down my breaks, skipped my lunch in office and waited for the interview call and finally, nobody has called me. At least there was no prior intimation from the HR (saying the interview is cancelled or we are postponing it).
Suggest HR to give proper and timely feedback to the candidates who has attended the interview. This will create a positive impression on the company to which we are applying. Also, before scheduling an interview, kindly check whether the skills/requirements what you are looking for is matching with the candidate’s experience or not.
In the middle of the interview one more person has joined the panel. The person does not have the basic etiquette to introduce himself.
Also, please keep few things in mind before calling an experienced candidate for interview. Kindly do not waste the valuable time of the interviewer’s and the interviewee.
Probably, in India the recruitment process will never change. They don’t ask any question related to the position what is being interviewed.
I never expected this kind of an interview from a so called Big Four Firm.
