I was invited to do an interview which ended up being a virtual recorded interview. If you don't have time to meet with candidates, you are either interviewing too many people or there is too much work for HR to manage. Platform was glitchy and I never received a follow up.

Question 1
Your relevant experience and interest in the organization
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Human Rights Watch
Interview
The interviewers were nice, the lack of communication was extremely frustrating. I had a basic phone interview to tell me about the position then moved to the final panel interview the week after. They gave me a lot of false hope by saying that I "stood out the most of all candidates" and am "so well spoken and passionate" and how the "organization would love to have me" and am "a great fit for us" and how they are lucky to have found me. The job was set to start 2 weeks after, and only after a month of no contact did I receive a rejection letter. They even told me they will keep me in mind for future roles and I emailed them twice for follow ups and questions and did not get any response back either. I interviewed for a similar role a few months after and was once again not alerted for a month regarding my status.

Question 1

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Human Rights Watch in Jan 2024
Interview
Was contacted about 2 weeks after submitting my application. There were 2 interviewers present. They were fine but not very personable. The questions were mostly about research methodology. Also some questions about background and fit.
