It was first of all by a recommendation. you express your interset by filling a form that you send to the Human ressources department, after that, you are requested to provide a reference who can testify for or act as a guarantor.
I applied on their portal through LinkedIn. a few weeks before the start date an email was sent to my account from an unknown account asking if I was ready for an interview. Then the date and time were selected. the whole process was normal but I never received any follow-up email or conversation.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Oxfam (Hanói) in Feb 2015
Interview
Only one interview at Oxfam office. Very conversational and informal interview. Relaxing, no hard technical questions, kind of get-to-know-you interview type. Casual or business casual dress is ok. Wearing suit to this interview would feel very awkward. Try to be relaxed and show your genuine interest during the interview process. Keep in touch with the interviewer after the interview. Maybe they don't accept you for this role, they can call you later for another role. So stay tuned and be ready.
