I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Shopee (Yakarta) in Jun 2020
Interview
HR emailed me to have a GMAT test. After I passed the test, I had an interview with the HR Manager. She asked general question about why applying at Shopee, your background, etc. She was really nice and the interview was really good experience. She then proceeded to tell me that I will have a product business case that should be done in 3 days. Basically they ask you to create a product for Shopee and you have to submit a word, an excel, and a ppt. They reviewed my case and I had my user interview after that. The user was not friendly tho. He cut me several times when I was answering his case questions and told me what he thought I should do. The fact is that, actually I was going to propose the same idea, but he cut me before I managed to say that. So basically what he said was just what I was going to say. If only he waited me finished my answer.

The interview process is really bad. The interviewer didn't even bother to explain the job description. She said that it's just what's written in the website. Of course, it was a general description. The HR also doesn't pay attention (eg. she's using her phone while smiling) then would ask me to repeat what I just said. She would also question my answers like saying that "It isn't that complicated" "It's just basic" without even knowing the entire process. I came from a different industry (not e-commerce) and she's expecting answers from e-commerce's perspective. While this is acceptable since they're looking for someone to fill the job, I think they should be open minded that not all industries are the same. The questions are relatively easy as I am confident with my experience but she keeps on invalidating all. She keeps on asking about our company's process and all but she doesn't share anything about the job. It was a really bad experience.
