Very nice process. I felt comfortable, the team was interested in both personal and professional skills. They were looking for a young professional with demonstrable experience in the field. The interview took around 40 minutes.
Only had one interview, but was contacted, interviewed, and rejected within a few weeks - so a pretty short process overall. Interviewers were warm and no gotcha questions. They seemed to really want previous UN experience, as most UN agencies do.
I applied online. I interviewed at UNICEF (New York, NY)
Interview
Be prepared to interview with folks in vastly different time zones as well; the reviews give some insight however the process is mercurial and protracted. This interview was for a contract gig that spanned over 3-4 months and in the end it appeared that the hiring personnel/decision-makers were not in agreement on the role. The role was reposted online for applications shortly after I was not invited to the 3rd round of interviews.
