I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Uber in Feb 2016
Interview
I applied online through the Uber website. Within the week I was sent an email with an assignment of sorts on how I would answer customer complaints, troubleshoot issues, and problem solving. After I sent that back I got an email asking me to choose a date and time that I could come in for an in-person interview. Interview was roughly 20 minutes long and it was very casual, more of a conversation than an interview. Wanted to know a little more about my past experiences in customer services and then he asked general questions that arise when working with Uber's customer service. I was offered the position on the spot but decided to turn it down. It was probably one of the best interviews I've ever had though. Office is open concept, people were very friendly, I wish it would've been a better fit for me.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Uber (Phoenix, AZ) in Aug 2015
Interview
An initial interview over the phone, followed by a Skype interview.
Interview process was simple and efficient. Initial phone interview went about 20 minutes and skype interview was about 30 minutes. It was professional but relaxed.
The Skype interview was very give and take and I enjoyed talking to the hiring manager.

Interview
All done via Skype. Opened with some small talk, then went through a bunch of support related questions. Pretty standard questions, I was offered the position at the end of the interview. Pretty seamless.
