I applied online. I interviewed at Verizon (Cranberry Township, PA) in Jan 2013
Interview
After applying online, I received an email the very next day asking me to call in so that I could schedule a phone interview. January 4th, I had my first phone interview and passed. Next, I was scheduled to take the assessment on January 10th, and I passed. I was immediately scheduled for the second phone interview on January 12th, and passed. I had my face to face interview January 14th. I think the interview went pretty well although I felt the interviewer felt concerned about my short experience in customer service. I am a recent college graduate who is currently working on my MBA with a concentration in Human Resources. I am hoping and praying that as the hiring manager reviews my file that my credentials are taken into consideration. Despite that I have a little less than a year of experience, I was able to provide the interviewer with detailed answers to the lengthy questions using the STAR method. I also informed the interviewer of what I could bring to the company and why I think I am a good fit. I believe it went well but I am still very nervous and worried. I really need this job, as I intend to build a long-term career. I intend to work very hard at proving myself and letting them know that I am worth taking a chance on. I think Verizon Communications and Verizon Wireless are great companies to work for. The training starts on January 28th. I am praying to God that the recruiter or hiring manager calls me with an offer. I was told by the interviewer that I will hear something whether the decision is good or bad.

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Verizon in Oct 2012
Interview
Their hiring process is a bit of a dog and pony show, but it makes sense considering the benefits available at hiring. After applying I was promptly invited for a phone interview. This interview was simply verifying the information on my application. Passing that, I was asked to go through another phone interview, this time it was a series of questions concerning my customer service experiences. Passing that, I was scheduled for a one on one interview with the store manager. At the end of the interview, I was told that I was " perfect for the position", but that I was the first interview, and I should expect to hear back within 10 days. I called regularly to check in, and was told that either the hiring manager was not in, or that they were still in the decision process. After 6 weeks, I gave up calling. 11 weeks after my in-store interview, I received an automated form rejection letter informing me that they had identified applicants who better suited the position. I felt that their follow-up was very unprofessional, and would have much preferred the rejection at least come from the manager I interviewed with, having made it to the top of their interviewing ladder, as it were.

Question 1
Nothing out of the ordinary. The other reviewers were quite helpful.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (North Charleston, SC) in Jan 2013
Interview
I applied online through Verizon wireless website. I received an email to schedule a phone interview, which I scheduled the next day. The questions were typical (why did you choose verizon? Where do you see yourself in 5 years?) and took about 30 mins. After the initial phone interview I was scheduled for an online assessment. Which included questions pertaining to mulit-tasking (transfering calls and matching numbers), problem solving (red fish, blue fish, spotted fish, sunny, rainy, hot, or cold), typing (reading and listening), and etc. Then another phone interview to review your resume or qualifications, after that an in-person interview with SC supervisor.
