I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Verizon (Henrietta, NY) in Jan 2013
Interview
I submitted an application online, and was called to set up a phone interview about a week later. After the phone interview, I went to the call center to take a personality test and a skills test (tested multitasking, data entry while listening to someone speak). Because the training class didn't start for almost three months after my phone interview, I took the two tests about two months after my phone interview. After taking the test, I was informed that about 50% of applicants pass both tests. I was then scheduled for a more in-depth phone interview, which took place a few days later. The recruiter I spoke with was very friendly and easy to talk to, however towards the end of the interview, she informed me that the company may not continue with the hiring because I worked for a retail store selling Verizon products. A week later, she called to let me know that they wouldn't continue with the interview process due to my current employment, but she strongly encouraged me to apply again if I ever left my current position.

Question 1
Part of the skills test required you to sort items by clicking and dragging, while also sorting a different set of items as those appeared. I found this to be fairly difficult because it moved so quickly.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Verizon (Alpharetta, GA) in Jan 2013
Interview
First I received a phone call to set up the job screening. I was good just the normal questions, why do you want to work here....why are you leaving your current employer, what do you think about our Credo etc. then once you pass that you are able to set up the first phone interview in which they will go more in depth about your job history and give you situational questions. Then if you pass that section they will schedule your for the assessment. They assessment was not difficult but you do have to pay attention to the directions and practicing your typing and multitasking skills. You receive our results the same day then they schedule you for your last phone interview. They ask you the same questions as the first interview just more I specific just to make sure your staying consistent, then once your have the last phone interview your have a 45 min face to face interview in which she ask a lot of situational and personality questions and you have to listen to some scenarios and give your opinion. Overall the hiring process can take a while but it was fun and worth it!
