I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Verizon (Newark, NJ) in Jun 2009
Interview
first attended testing that was held at main HQ on 540 Broad Street, Newark Nj consisted of General Knowledge/Iq test, after successfully passing, was asked to take a keyboard entry test basically enetring customer information, after passing that, was asked to take a mock call test ex-employees call into test room act either as Irate or customers soliciting new service. Once I passed that final test was asked to take drug test. a week later was called for a phone interview, questions dealing with adverse weather conditions versus attendance. finally was notified by mail to come in for a person to person interview, was made an offer , I accepted and was schedule to begin a 4 week training , after training was placed on calling floor to listen to daily customer call with an existing consultant this is referred to as "nesting" for 2 weeks and finally started taking calls after this.

Question 1
If for some reason (weather , woke up late, etc) how would you compensate company for time?
The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Verizon (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2010
Interview
I was initially notified by phone that they were interested. I was then subjected to a preliminary interview and was told that I would be called at a designated time for another interview. I received instructions and a company overview by mail. The second interview took place and it was horrible! I felt as if the person on the other end did not want me to go any further in the process. He seemed to want to find anything to incriminate me. Yes, I was fired in 2006, no I did not read the company credo. I did not notice the credo at the bottom of the email, so make sure you know that. When the interview was over...I knew that it wasn't happening. I felt like my time was wasted.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Verizon in Jan 2011
Interview
Initial interview with corp recruiter (simple PC competency questions), referred to do testing (IQ, call center situations, typing, tech support skills) immediately received results and was scheduled for interview, returned for 1:1 interview and was simple vanilla interview questions about resume and dates of employment, received a call for a QA interview (final interview) which was basically to answer three questions regarding each company of employment (likes, dislikes, something challenging done) very plain and dry. After which I received an offer via telephone and my acceptance would be given electronically. A 3rd party would conduct my background check. (Note: the 3rd party is very slow on their investigation and could delay your employment, days if not weeks, if not months.) Do not lie or embellish anything on your resume or application, if they find even a date incorrect in their investigation they will immediately resend the job offer. I was warned of this multiple times (which was kinda discouraging... like immediately saying "we don't trust you" but just means they mean business).
