I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Verizon (Franklin, TN) in Apr 2015
Interview
I applied online. I recieved an email that night asking me to call and schedule a phone interview. the next day, a rep called me to schedule a phone interview. I had the phone interview 3 days later. After the phone interview, they scheduled me to come in for an assessment. They told me if I passed, I would have a face to face interview shortly after. I passed the assessment, and had my face to face interview about 10 minutes after. It felt more like a conversation than an interview. The environment was casual and comfortable. After my interview, I went on a tour of the facility. They called to offer me the job the next day.

There were a lot of role playing questions. Ex. What would you do if you had an upset customer?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Chandler, AZ) in Feb 2011
Interview
Pretty basic questions but you do have to make a typing test and another exam that I would describe as common sense questions. I am a slow typer and I did fine. Some customer service questions were asked.

Question 1
There were some, "what would you do if..." questions related to customer service. They were common sense. Verizon is VERY customer service based, and the customer is always right! Keep that in mind when answering...
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Huntsville, AL) in Jun 2013
Interview
Too long and time consuming. Got the initial phone interview, then a week later got called to come up fifty miles away to test. Got called two weeks after that for another phone interview. After that had to drive back up for an in person interview. All that and ended up not getting the job. So I view it as a waste of time and money, which if you are out of a job, is difficult to handle.
