I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon in Aug 2015
Interview
I had a phone interview and then one in-person interview with two managers. The phone interview was pretty intense and really prepared me for the in person interview. It lasted about an hour. The recruiter asked me a bunch of situational questions. Then, I had to perform a role play with her and sell one of Verizon's products to her.
Before your phone interview, the recruiter will send you a detailed email to help prepare you for the interview, including information on the role play. I recommend to study that email. As long as it seems like you prepared for the interview, you'll be fine. The recruiter will then give you a lot of tips to prepare for the in person interview.

Interview
Signed up online, got a call for the initial interview with the recruiter. All went well until it came to a job I'd had 4-6 years ago and I couldn't remember exactly when I'd left. She said I'd need to make sure but would start an interview with the manager at the store location. Called me back to schedule (even said the manager's store and a time to meet) the interview, and I told her I couldn't get paper documents to say I'd left then. She then said to let her know when I could. Still can't, but confirmed the month and when I called she said that they're still interviewing people. I told her that she had already started for me to meet the manager so that didn't make sense and so she said she had never done that. I just got an email saying I don't meet the qualifications even though I'm overqualified for the position.

Question 1
They'll ask you to sell a product, typically an accessory for the month, to them during the interview. They give you some time to learn about it before the interview.

Interview
Typical company interview process. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The hiring process was very swift and less stressful than what I expected. Throughout the process my point of contact was extremely helpful, readily available to answer any questions I had as well as easy to contact. Typically, 2-3 interviews before receiving an offer is the standard.
