Pros

Very big company with worldwide presence. Possibility to move to another country and work on a different challenges

Cons

Lack of respect and basic values. You must show results, no matter what. Several senior managers don´t have any respect by their employees. Poor communication and quite often no direction support.

They pay reasonably well and the corporate benefits (like 10% off all online purchases are Target) are really good if you take advantage of them Relatively low-stress job; you can skate by indefinitely as a low to middle performers without too many questions asked

Cons

Upper management is terrified of making mistakes; holds the status quo in almost every situation Very limited opportunity for advancement - Most people that I know at AIG have not changed roles in 5-10 years Review process is entirely subjective Minimal employee training
