Pros

Motivating and knowledgable managers and leads. Flexible work and shifts, good salary and cultural activities. Good place for freshers due to comprehensive training. Risk Engineering has good travel opportunities. Cat modelling and Actuary have their own practice different from industry.

Cons

Limited promotions, Niche profile, less on site opportunities. The training program is good but has inconsistencies. Scope of improvement in higher education opportunities.

CoE Bangalore Office IS A MESS!

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Prestige Shantinketan is nice tech park and AIG provides cab service for all employees which helps in congested Bangalore. Since attrition rate is so high, HR and Management Team have been giving away free gifts all year from speakers to chocolates to suitcases, even throwing parties! As far as pros for work, not much can be said.

Cons

The RE Management Team and Directors is the worst part of the CoE. Most of them have no idea what managing people or business is all about. None are competent in engineering and it shows daily. Most days managers are in unscheduled meetings with themselves for hours, while employees are left wondering and working. Managers are usually the last ones in and the first to leave, again leaving employees to work harder.

Trial attorney

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Good and challenging work, friendly office, good PTO, match 401k up to 6%. Will get plenty of experience from inception to just before trial. Trials only go to well vetted senior trial attorneys.

Cons

Company wants more with less. Too high a case load, no raises. Behind the curve in technology. Frequency and amount of reporting is unnecessary and cumbersome. Employees have become just a number and everyone is expendable.
