Pros

They used to Pay well and have decent benefits. They used to have decent leadership, but those days are gone.

Cons

They are firing everyone that has promoted or is a Top Performer to cut costs any way they can, because of their significant debt they incurred with horrible acquisitions by leadership. They are punishing the employees that have kept this Company alive by finding any reason at all to Fire employees just so they won't have to give them Severance of any kind. The current Leadership has no idea what they are doing, and they are only looking to survive long enough to pad their Retirement. AT&T used to be a good place to work, but now they are in a downward spiral and I can see them getting acquired in the near future by some Private Equity Company just to be resold again later.

Pros

If you ever contemplated suicide, this job will help expedite that decision.

Cons

Mandatory six day work weeks the majority of the year. Fake union that dose absolutely nothing for you. Inadequate pay dosent even come close to describing it when you compare the work to salary ratio. Completely disconnected corporate employees. Example, they will sit on their couch at their comfy work from home, six figure job and implement multiple new things for you the technician to do everyday, because they fired all those other people that did those jobs so they can make that fat bonus, and try to show the company that the company needs them, because “hey look at all the things I implemented!” Then to slap you in the face further, they will ask you manager to ask you how you like all the cool things they make you do on top of your regular job. Also the company is so woke that if you look online at the premise technician jobs you’ll see endless pictures of smiling black females or just females in general. The occupation is 99% bearded white dudes that hate their lives. You’ll see a female once every few years and she’ll quit within 6 months. Back to the job though, you’ll get to meet the bottom feeders of America, the customers. They will ask you to do everything under the sun, while calling you a piece of crap and everything else they can think of, and even if you do everything you can for them with a smile on your face, they will get a survey and give you 4 out of 5 stars and AT&T management will write you up. Anyway if you enjoy working like a slave in the elements for minimal pay while getting crapped on by corporate elites and by the customers for 6 days a week then I guess this is the job for you!

Pros

Can't think of much other than some of the people you meet.

Cons

Cronyism is rampant. Area managers select based on friendship and not interviewing the best applicant. I watched the company tell you to do things and then turn around and fire people for the literally things asked of you. So many self created barriers. If you're a sales driven individual, the red tape and politics will disgust you. If you sell don't sell enough, we'll coach you out. If you sell too much, you'll be investigated and fired that way. One of the worst ran companies I have ever seen. I still have nightmares about working at that toxic place. One way communication. The company doesn't care about changing anything other than continously driving unrealistic voice growth goals, then terminates everybody regardless of they hit or not. It's a big game. The company has zero integrity and everything is about saving face. They make you sign trainings, for example, that it's against policy to knock on doors to solicit sales. Then, immediately the area manager and director of sales will be instructing reps to hit the streets. Regardless of rain, cold, heat, etc.
