Pros

Great benefits lots of PTO you won’t be able to use

Cons

Your professional responsibilities extend beyond your home, as you may still be required to use your work phone and interact with customers at all hours. The billing system of AT&T is structured in a way that can lead to financial difficulties, particularly during the first two months. This can result in an excessive bill for your customers, and you may face challenges in rectifying the situation due to the company’s refusal to provide credits. To mitigate this issue, you may be compelled to offer additional services such as insurance, early upgrades, and home protection, which can significantly reduce the amount of money you can save for your customers. If you decide to close a sale without including these add-ons, be prepared to be on call at 7 am to justify your actions and explain why you are not performing well as an employee. The only effective strategy for success in this environment is to slam these features, which is what successful employees do to meet the unrealistic targets set by the company. Also no realistic opportunity for promotion. 4 years that’s I’ve been in my position they fired 3 ISM’s by eleminating their territory and the one that was promoted came from another channel within the company.

Pros

Pay, benefits, training material, company provided equipment (laptop, ipad, phone), peers you work with, support you receive from leadership.

Cons

Aggressive sales targets, sales targets are inflated by sellers defrauding AT&T/customer and they are set at unrealistic targets as a result, shady practices by employees to earn commissions and win trips. Micromanaging, layoff scares every quarter (always feel like you wont have a job), high stress
