Pros

-Smart people -Great benefits and perks -401K match and health insurance -Ability to jump in and make an impact

Cons

By far is the draconian RTO mandate. Strict 5 days a week and 8hrs a day tracked by your computer being connected to the network. Leaving your desk to get lunch, go the restroom, collab with partners in person will count against your time in office and you will need to stay for that amount of time extra at the end of the day. I saw people sprinting to use the restroom, eating lunch at their desk and walking in from the parking garage with their laptops open just to get their minutes counted. On top of that, you will spend 10-15 minutes trying to find parking because the building is overcrowded. They have these obnoxious pillars that block half of the parking spaces. Don't forget this time counts against you. Building is generally overcrowded so you won't sit near your team every day. People are camped out in breakout rooms, on the floor, in the cafeteria literally everywhere and it's quite loud for most of the day.

Great people, short-sighted leadership

Pros

Peers are engaging, smart and fun. The work is challenging and fun

Cons

Leadership is another story. Antiquated way of thinking has resulted in a serious brain drain and shows no sign of stopping. Strictly 5 days a week, 8hrs a day. Your time on network is tracked and must provide proof of events that take you out of the office.

Pros

Great career progression opportunities, but must be in Dallas or Atlanta (but seems like Dallas is really the preference.) I work with great people, but it's a big company.

Cons

RTO is too authoritarian. Coming from someone who CHOSE to go into the office 4-5 days a week pre- and post-COVID, I am discouraged by the poor attitude AT&T has displayed towards its employees in the last year.
