Good company; not so good management.

Pros

Genuinely good people who take their job seriously. Some areas have the ethos of the outcome is as important as the path. New product/area teams have focus and drive.

Cons

Nepotism in management, with managers with little or no professional experience in security. Inability to provide constructive feedback as it has to go through the management chain. Mired in bureaucracy with decisions needing to be cleared up the chain and across teams. Training is limited to what the company provides, and certifications are not supported financially. For the positions in or close to London, about 2 years behind in salary.

Pros

They support training and development As the company is large there is opportunity to grow and move around It's international so you can work with other cultures The majority of people are good to work with

Cons

Unless you are in the favoured circle your opinion is discounted and career progression limited Very cost focused, with salaries being less competitive as a result Recently moved to a management culture of treating people like numbers not individuals Some senior people get away with frankly unacceptable behaviour towards others

- I feel empowered to make the right decisions for our customers - Management are supportive and encourage you to progress your career - AXA have a great work life balance, Flexi Time and the option to work from home is a huge benefit - I feel proud to say I work for such a recognised brand

Cons

At the moment I cannot think of any!
