Pros

AXA are a high insurance brand but those industry will know AXA UKs strengths and weaknesses. Whilst AXA may be a market leader globally I don't think they excel in many areas I the UK. Good benefits, 10x life insurance(!), good salary and bonus. Very supportive of sponsoring professional qualifications and even degrees. I really support the new CEOs agenda of recruiting more women to the most senior results but diversity extends beyond gender.

Cons

It's a textbook case of "Big corporate". That means lots of red tape and politics, extremely risk adverse, complex and a top down culture. If you're not near the top of the hierarchy (and it's a very hierachal organisation) you won't have a voice. Maybe the "simplification process" they're going through will address some of these issues. At AXA you do things the AXA way and do not bother to challenge the status quo.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We appreciate your open and honest comments, they are not only helpful to us but also for people thinking about joining AXA UK. Your comment around not all AXA UK employees having a voice is something really important to us. Feedback from our employees is paramount to support the company’s strategic direction and it is something which is actively encouraged face to face and also through our regular surveys to employees. We currently have a great working party of employees from a variety of positions across AXA UK, they are now working with the Management Committee to be part of creating our next strategic plan. Thanks again and please continue to share your views.
