Pros

Great pay and benefits. Flexible hours. Great people (who are leaving for more secure opportunities).

Cons

Management by coercion. Women are lesser beings and i think the pay reflects that. Spanish managers that don't always have the language and people skills to keep the skilled/ knowledgeable people necessary to produce great projects, however that are willing to train inexperienced. No room for promotion if you are not fluent in Spanish. While they hire good engineers, they regularly transfer from Spain, unqualified people for other technical positions. More work for the rest of us.

Pros

Exposure to Solar Power Plant Technologies, Design and Field work, European Company which has its Pros in exposure to new and interesting Spanish Culture.

Cons

Complete loss and waste of time, they force you to sign on drawings that you did not design (if you are a PE, you are in hell), they threaten you with your job if you do not sign, a lot of backstabbing, quick revolving door (Engineers in and out too quickly). They put all the work on your shoulders, I refused to sign so I just left the company. There is a large need to make the real workers with the US experience to supervise all designs, and the spanish engineers learn the US codes and standards, not vice versa. This company is new to the US, and there is an extreme discrimination if you are not Spanish. Do not dream of being treated with respect, they don't even regard you as an individual if you are not Spanish, even if you speak the language.
