Pros

The people Benefits Location

Cons

It's amazing in this day and age that people are being managed out of roles for reasons that aren't at all justified . What's more surreal is the hierachal attitude of management within Policy management that seem to get away with treating people in a second class way and get away with it. We are aware of numerous occasions that HR have been approached by pm staff with issues on management and nothing is done. We felt that HR are supposed to be impartial but it really isn't the case. Favouritism is rife and if you are friends with management your promotion is secure. Young people are walking away from their jobs due to the management and people are having to go on glass door to vent there anger.

Pros

The team members and one or two members of management.

Cons

The internal politics resulting in friends of management being promoted and members of staff being bullied or fired due to not meeting unrealistic expectations.

Pros

Benefits are good and many managers are polite, engaging and encourage their teams to grow and succeed.

Cons

The remnants of a dictatorial management style still seem to exist. Harrassment , psychological bullying, back stabbing , mis trust , threats, favoritism , all live on , especially in policy management area. But considering that hr and operations know this exists, there can be no confidence that this will change ! What a pity that managent who talk about embracing change., emotional intelligence, engagement , internal communications turn a blind eye to this time and time again. The very core pre requisite to any change in the above, and building of bridges, is building trust, mutual respect and ensuring that a persons dignity is acknowledged . The latest focus is on the ambiance, physical improvements with no engagement as to the psychological aspects of the antiquated cultural dictatorial management style that exists! Try 360 degree engagement ! Get rid of this secrecy about HR! Why does a department not want people to know who there HR partner is? Why , if a query is raised with HR, do the HR department run to that persons line manager before responding !!! No one can trust that process !!! Can HR not be a confidential ear without grassing to managers ? What’s the fear of the truth !! Truth is the basics for setting a path to improvement ! Embrace it, don’t hide from the truth ! it’s sad listening to stories of the same repetitive behaviors being Orchestrated by a few, yet affecting so many !
