Pros

Good benefits. The reward is the lives that are saved due to the companies existence and the work done.

Cons

Very political organization. Blood donor services was constantly changing without much progress implemented. Management was not always professional or well versed/educated in their roles. Too many people in higher positions without the proper training and/or education.

Pros

Here you can work knowing that everything you do is helping people. The Red Cross helps in so many areas that no matter what the role you add value to the mission.

Cons

It is a mission culture and some times mission priorities conflict and groups fight for resources. There is no consistent source of income and due to the national scale on which they need to operate there is never enough money.
