Pros

Great people and teams, flexibility

Cons

Highly competitive, tight deadlines, but this is the reality of the industry. Could be better managed although I believe there are current steps taken to mitigate this.

Pros

I worked here for 4 years for the Australian part of Amnesty International. The culture is high achieving, respectful and supportive. The department I worked in (Fundraising) was fun whilst also being goal oriented and driven to succeed. The pay and benefits were fair and reflective of their values. I worked with many great people and really miss the great teamwork and culture.

Cons

Human rights is a tough area to work in and its confronting to read case studies of how awful human beings can treat other human beings. But we were always able to support each other with this challenge.

Pros

- new management structure, with impressive leaders ready to make a difference - really supportive work environment offering flexible working arrangements, additional leave and good salaries

Cons

- can set some high targets and when strategies change due to external world all staff need to be onboard, and if not, they should probably be shown the door.
