Pros

This is a great entry level job to get your foot in the door in the field of defined benefits and can help you gain experience to move forward in your career. It's also just a good way to gain general work experience. I have had positive experiences with management, and they are willing to work with you to help you through your tasks/ project. The culture of the company is fantastic. They do emphasize in growing you if you are willing to put in the effort, work, and time.

Cons

This department faces high turnover and can result in you receiving more work than you can handle. This job demands the stamina to talk to people about their pensions daily. It can get frustrating and tiring, which is probably the biggest driving force in the high turnover rates of this job. You'll be frequently interrupted in doing your on going work to answer these calls and that, on its own, is frustrating.

Pros

Aon is a global company and you have so many career opportunities to move around. They also really put value on the service to the client which helps enable those directly working with clients to better perform.

Cons

The organization is still somewhat fragmented from decades of mergers and growth, although they are making active strides to improve this. The technology platforms are also really lacking with IT support outsourced to the other side of the world.

Pros

A bit of flexibility to work from home.

Cons

Senior management ignore bullying in the office from middle managers. Staff are over worked and treated badly. Glad I am out of there. In the two years I worked for Aon never have I seen such behaviour. They sell it to you in the interview until you get in . Beware .
