1. HR- I believe out of 400 employees, it is very easy to seek out family members - 4 Parnami's / 2 Sharma's another 2 Sharma's, 2-3 vijay's and believe me or not there could be a long list. Which brings to a question - Is there any fix quota for family members like we have in army schools. Every one so keen to post the jobs on their social sites, but are you guys really aware of this fact that this could ruin your reputation since they only entertain employees blood relations on priority even if there is a best candidate available for the position. To HR team - "Why you actually seek for referrals on mails when you already have family members’ or known candidates marked on your list for the open positions. Seems like just to show yes you guys do work."
Why does it takes 1-2 months get on boarded. Are you guys hiring NASA Astronauts, scientist or what? Oh no! fact is the senior guys who will be taking interview are either busy playing some sports or gossiping, the cafeteria thing and last but not the least even they don't know how to speak English so do they are not good with technical things too. Questions to HR- Have you ever gave a thought about this that you are literally playing with careers of thousands. At least responds to those whom you do not want to hire. Don't play with the hopes and enthusiasm they have for joining Appirio.
2. Management - Appirio started with approx. of 110 employees from Metacube. 70% of them don’t even know how to speak proper English. And guess what they are part of management teams like JMT/JLT etc. Fact is before taking client calls or project calls; they actually go through their pre-prepared script. Their astonishing skill doesn’t end here, their mails are being written by ACT/AC. And when it comes to managing teams, some of them have set their expectations that they will be only shadowing new girls instead of boys. They are too good at politics, in case if you stand against them, they could end up finishing your career. However with the skills they have company is still ready to pay them 13-14Lakh to SC, 17-18Lakh to AM etc. People are just making couple of slides on the name of L&D, playing TT and taking a package of 20-30Lakhs. Managers who are running DEV and QA team, they are busy showing off doing meetings. Wait a minute, do you guys even know 10% of DEV and QA. They end up saying - I am not good with technical skills. Such an unfortunate fate it is, you r manager doesn't have technical and managers skills both. And this will make their heads down, since they are holding positions which they don't deserve. Fact is these guys will always stuck to Appirio because neither they are capable enough to give interviews outside Appirio and nor they have skills to put in their resume. Truth is they were adopted from metacube wherein they were never interviewed. Coca Cola and many projects are examples for their failures where in client didn't even understand what exactly JDC Senior Consultant or Technical Consultant want to say. This is a open challenge for these guys, if you have guts try and give interviews for big companies. Then you would be able to figure out yourself.
3. Recreational rooms - Beware! If you are a new joiner or fresher you are only supposed to concentrate on either writing down test classes or reading Appirio way etc. Since these rooms are specially designed for dictators who are holding positions like SC/TC/PC/BA/AM etc. If you will try to be part of that game, they will give you some task or will make you remember to do work. And they have this monopoly, all over the floor.
4. Cafeteria - Appirio is very well known for its culture of work and what they do for employees. However since ascend program has been launched. Management thinks newbie's take the eatable and drinkable things to their home. But fact is, it is the seniors who are actually doing this. They are the reason behind empty cafeteria at 5pm. And this fact should be very well spread.
5. Finance - No doubt they are really good at your KRA's. Finance team has always been exceptional. However knowing the fact that 70% of expense reports are fake, they actually approve them. Know what out of this 70%, a big number comes from seniors. Someone should learn the real use of PDF editor from them. And company officials know all this, but they are helpless. Since they can't do anything when it comes to billable resource. When it comes to BGC Appirio has Hireright, they can spent any amount for parties and events, however questions comes up is - Aren't finance is capable enough to get the bills verified from PAYTM or other telecomm companies. Another one is 8000/- for gym. Except 50 out 400 actually look fit. Rest seems to have enjoying 11 months gym fees after editing the very first month bill in DB cafeteria.
6. WFH and late coming- If you are new joiner holding positions like Intern/ACT/AC you don't have right to take WFH. But your manager can come at 12pm and can leave at 4pm. Your managers reporting manager won't utter any single word about it. But in case of Interns/ACT/AC, they actually fill sheets at what time they are coming and what time they are leaving. Being junior you are supposed to take approval for WFH, early going etc. And these managers actually act like dictators, they can lead this trend to an extend where in a junior guy will be seeking approval for going washroom too. There are many examples that were on WFH for long time and they turned up taking promotions however they all are seniors.
