Not The Same Since Wipro Took Over

Pros

Used to be The Culture Used to be The Transparency Used to be The Ease of Navigating (systems, processes, internal politics, etc) Used to be The CEO and leadership team

Cons

Diversity and inclusion is a joke. You have a bunch of Indian men who don't respect women or your input and they constantly over promise and under deliver. You will be asked to put together lots of documents they will never consume. Nuisance busy work that doesn't impact the bottom line. Working internally is so daunting and complex. You spend time listening to 'clout' stories..."I know the CEO of XYZ company personally." And it (those relationships) will never help you close business. Collaboration is a joke. The Appirians that stuck around are easier to collaborate with vs. the Wipro folks.

Pros

Has wonderful and talented people, nice infrastructure, cafeteria and cab service

Cons

The top level management is unable to resist the temptation of getting into politics and making sure that people, who can deliver extraordinarily well are continuously dealing with these situations leading to a fun factor of ZERO, a screwed up work life balance and total distrust on management (both Jaipur and US). The US management had even sought inputs (presumably) from the Jaipur Management, but either the jaipur managers did not provide the true picture or if they did the US management turned a deaf ear (or were made to believe that everything is great and this is just some noise by some individuals and nothing more). There are too many management teams.. JST, JLT, JMT.. still we do not have clear policies on promotions, increments and even giving COLA is controversial too (can't believe why giving just a 6% increase in India is such a difficult decision) People leave giving a feedback but those too are considered as noise elements and ignored. Lastly, this is treated as a cost centre. Career growth is limited, with US dictating terms and Jaipur is expected to be just following them.

Dear Appirian, Thanks for taking time out in sharing your feedback and highlighting areas where you feel we can do better & Huge Thanks for rating us “Great Company”. I would kindly ask you to please reach out to me, your manager or any of our global leader with your specific concerns which has led you to perceive that Jaipur Management is operating with highest degree of professionalism, integrity and transparency. Appirio Jaipur is amongst the fastest growing company in Jaipur/ Rajasthan with lots of growth opportunities - Given our pace and competitive landscape we'll continue to evolve and adapt however we're committed to invest appropriate time and energy in evolving our operational process framework in close collaboration/feedback with you (our employees) as well as communicating them effectively. We strongly encourage our employees to maintain their Work/Life balance respectively, however since we operate under global delivery model across multiple time zones so it's really your responsibility to set/manage expectation with your peers and/or project team, in case you need help/coaching here please discuss it with your immediate supervisor. I have duly noted your feedback on our promotion policy (and again you're encouraged to discuss the same with your immediate Manager, HR-Business Partner or any other Appirio executive leader) and I personally assure you that we're committed to create competitive working environment, which includes higher compensation as employees are promoted to increasing levels of responsibility. Please be assured that we take feedback from our employees very seriously, constructively so you should not have any fear of backlash (and I would strongly encourage you to leverage our internal Fun Factor surveys which are generally more actionable and ethical) and we're committed to make/evolve Appirio as Destination of choice offering ""best in class"" worker experience with tremendous growth opportunities. Death of a Culture

Pros

Somewhat decent benefits. Work remotely.

Cons

Wipro's culture has completely replaced Appirio's and not for the better. Appirio was a great place to work but Wipro apparently paid half a billion to kill it. Their mentality is to throw key-punching contractor bodies at projects all for bargain basement rates. Good luck with that! They had 3 years to prepare for system integration between Appirio and Wipro. It was rolled out at the beginning of this year which turned out to be a huge mess. Very little in the Wipro "portal" seems to work as it is supposed to.
