Pros

I never really felt comfortable in this environment from day one due to the lack of Sr and middle Management competency and lack of support. The biggest pro was getting to meet some very nice and skilled employees.

Cons

As a Sr PM, I was repeatedly assigned multi million $ projects to manage without prior Executive Management prioritization, sponsorship, committed resources, or adequate approved budget, not to mention their level of maturity and acknowledgement for process improvement was nothing nut lip service, time and again! I was blamed for projects that didn't achieve their unrealistic goals and used as a scapegoat for their own lack of engagement and support as continually requested by myself on several large and supposed critical projects. Sr executive Mgmt has the majority of employees either brainwashed or manipulated via their very subjective employee performance review system. It is one of the most untrustworthy companies I ever worked for in my 35 yrs of employment in 6 different industries! They really should be thoroughly investigated by an independent regulatory agency.

Pros

Opportunity to further career, large healthcare system with many options

Cons

Merged with Ascension and cut the positions of many hard working, experienced associates without notice. Poor communication all the way around during the merger, left associated wondering if their position was safe or not.

Pros

The pay/salary are in line with other organizations. Vacation time and sick time are rolled into one bucket, but the time is generous as long as you don't become ill. The associates are hard working and dedicated.

Cons

Toxic organizational culture. The MSC has their values written on conference rooms and then breaks them daily with their employees (associates). They are quietly downsizing where many former excellent associates are there one day and gone the next. They pay the CEO and Executive Leadership excessive salaries, yet PIP or severance pay dedicated staff out hoping no one notices. There is nothing Catholic, moral, or rooted in the loving ministry of Jesus about this place. Work for them at your own risk, you are disposable. No accountability-Upper management consistently blames their staff for their own performance failures and then eliminates the associate. It's the one constant about the organization. Yet, no one above the MSC takes any ownership or action to fix the situation. If it's a faith based organization, it isn't a faith rooted in Jesus. Matthew 7:15
