Pros

Colleagues are generally helpful and friendly. Technical experts usually willing to help - but must provide project codes.

Cons

Lack of career opportunities. Lack track record to bid for bigger projects especially in Asia. Management are disconnected from reality. High staff turnover - hard to grow business.

Pros

It was best work environment before French CFO suddenly coming

Cons

the French CFO of aurecon asia only know about Cashflow management and looks didnt understand of accrual basis accounting. his schedule only full with talking about vendor payment approval even for 1$ payment. he build his nepotism culture with bring all his ex staff from his former company AECOM. he thinks he is smart if can delay any payment as long as he can even the vendor stop give a service to company.

Mid size engineering firm that appears to be struggling

Pros

Good people at the junior and mid levels that are friendly and will help you learn and advance your career. Variety of projects that should allow you to try different things.

Cons

Offices are in bad locations (Sydney is at Neutral Bay, Melbourne in Docklands and Brisbane is moving to Bowen Hills). The company is making a big deal of something they call "design thinking" but it's not really different to what other consultancies are doing. The same goes their focus only having a small number of clients provide most of the work. No social club or Friday drinks. The company seems to be struggling a bit. Profit margins are low and the staff numbers have been shrinking. Many levels in the Brisbane office are just empty now.
